A Memorable Evening

I had the opportunity to be part of this year’s Japan Fall Training 2017. It was the autumn season and the weather, while it’s something we are not used to, seemed perfect for us!
For me, the highlight of my visit to Japan was the chance to meet our valued students. I was excited and nervous at the same time because we were expected to talk and mingle with forty + students!

Our big night came and it started with us introducing ourselves to everyone. Everybody kept their eyes glued to us while we happily seized the moment. After that, we had an icebreaker; a fun game which fully served its purpose. It made us all, the students and the Instructors, more comfortable with each other.

The game lasted and the time has come for us to finally greet and talk with the students. The moment was touching; everybody was very kind and showed eagerness to talk with us. We exchanged business cards and shared wonderful stories while enjoying finger foods and drinks.

Time flies when you are having fun! It was hard to say goodbye, but after the event I realized how gratifying my job is as an English Instructor. Hearing my students expressing their appreciation truly gives me a wonderful feeling.
