天候を表す

Japan has four distinct seasons. It gets really cold in the winter, and it has actually become noticeably colder since the beginning of December.
日本は四季がはっきりしていています。冬はとても寒くなるんですが、実際12月に入ってからメッキリと寒くなりました。

As Japan stretches from north to south, the weather varies from place to place. Along the regions of the Pacific Ocean, we have clear sunny days even in winter.
日本は南北に長いので場所によって気候違うんです。太平洋側の地域では、冬でもカラリと晴れる日がわりと多いんですよ。

エアコンをつけっぱなしにしていたので空気がカラカラです。加湿器をつけたほうがいいですかね？

外はブルブルと震えるような寒さでしたよ。気を付けないと風邪を引きそうです。

It started snowing here and there. We should go home early without working overtime today.
雪がチラホラと降ってきました。今日は残業せずに早く帰ったほうがいいですね。

The cold wind is howling outside, so you should dress warm when going out.
外は冷たい風がビュービュー吹いているんで、あったかくしていったほうがいいですよ。

風邪などの症状を表す表現

My throat is sore maybe because the air is really dry here.
空気が乾燥しているせいか、喉がヒリヒリします。

I have chills and a headache since this morning. I feel like I’m catching a cold.
今朝からゾクゾクして頭も痛いんです。風邪の引き始めかもしれません。

I got the flu last week. I couldn’t get out of bed because I felt dizzy having had a high fever for three days.
先週インフルエンザにかかってしまいました。3日ほど高熱が続いたのですが、ふらふらして起き上がれませんでした。

Although my fever went down, the cough hasn’t gone away and I’ve been coughing all day.
熱は下がったのですが咳がなかなか治らなくて、ずっとゴホゴホしてます。

I’m fully recovered from the cold! It seems like I can get back to work as usual tomorrow.
風邪はすっかり治りました！明日からは普段どおりに勤務できそうです。
